It’s August!!! I have to say, I’m not really all that
excited about that because it means that school is coming, but on the other
hand, it means football season is right around the corner! And as a huge
football fan, that is a big deal for me. So, at least half of me is excited
that it’s August, and I suppose that’s enough. I knew I’d have to go back to
school eventually. Well, let’s get to what I’m currently up to this month!
Hearting: Full
Steam Ahead by Karen Witemeyer. I just reviewed it yesterday, and if you read
my review you’ll see how much I completely and utterly loved this book. As of
now, I’ve read every single one of Karen’s full length novels, and I haven’t
been able to get enough of her writing. She always does a flawless job of
weaving together captivating stories that absolutely knock my socks off, and
this book was no exception.
Watching: Okay,
don’t judge, but one of my absolute favorite shows right now is Girl Meets
World on Disney Channel. I grew up watching Boy Meets World, so it was only natural
for me to be super excited when I found out they were making the sequel two
years ago. What has actually really surprised me is that the show is decent. It’s not as good as Boy Meets World, and I never expected it
to be, but it is really good in its own right and I have loved almost every
single episode. Season three started two months ago, so I’ve been avidly watching
each new episode, and I think this has been the best season yet. So far anyway.
Exploring: Well, I
haven’t been exploring anywhere yet, but this month I will be going camping in
Hamilton Branch, so I will definitely be doing plenty of exploring then. I’ve
been there once before, but I’m really excited to go again, as I really enjoyed
my previous trip there!
Creating: Well, I’m
not really currently creating anything, other than fabulous blog posts of
course. I mean, I love crafts and dabbling in the kitchen and all those sorts
of things, but I just haven’t really actually done anything worth mentioning
lately. However, my mom has been doing a TON of creating lately, and she made
me a fantastic decal for my wall just last week. She’s currently working
towards having her own successful Etsy store, and I think she’s going to nail
it.
Eating: Ice
cream. Always ice cream. Lately I’ve been eating chocolate and mint chocolate
chip, though I like almost any flavor. And it’s almost always homemade. Since my
family has multiple different food allergies, myself included, it’s easier to
make sure we all can have it if we just make our own. Plus, I am starting to
believe I have arthritis in both my right knee and wrist, and sugar definitely doesn’t
help matters, so when I make my ice cream at home, I’m able to us more natural
sweeteners that don’t bother me. Then I’m able to eat it all that much more
often, which of course I love.
Well, that’s what I’m currently up to! What about you?
Happy August!

Found you from the linkup and YAY!! Another football fan?! :) I'm actually hosting a Football Friday link-up on August 19th if you'd like to join- anything goes! You are the second person to mention ice cream on their 'eating' and now I wish I had some in the house haha!
ReplyDeleteYes! I LOVE football!!! I would love to link up with you; I'll have to plan to join y'all! Haha I always want ice cream, so it is my go-to for posts like these! I'm so glad you found me on the linkup and stopped by!
DeleteIsn't Girl Meets World cute? Every now and then an episode is kinda lame, but for the most part it's just a lot better than most Disney shows. I've been wanting to read Full Steam Ahead. I'll have to try it soon.
ReplyDeleteIt really is! I agree, sometimes there is an episode that isn't as great, but for the most part they're really great! Full Steam Ahead is so wonderful; you'll really enjoy it!!!
DeleteI'm glad to see someone else is loving ice cream right now too! Also, I watch (and love) Girl Meets World, it's honestly just gotten better and better. Plus, this season is so good right now!
ReplyDeleteTHanks for linking up!

DeleteThanks for co-hosting the linkup!
okay so I'm a youth pastor. I was explaining to one of my middle school girls how Girl Meets World came from Boy Meets World, one of my favorite shows as a kid. I AM NOT EVEN JOKING YOU - she asked if they aired the show in black & white. I was like girl how old do you think I am?! ahaha. I've not really watched much of GMW but I might have to start soon ;D
ReplyDeleteLol that's so funny!!I really enjoy it, and I like what they've done with the show. Usually you can't really expect much of Disney Channel shows, but there is a good moral in pretty much every episode! I've been pleasantly surprised!
