Quarterly Round-Up: January-March

        Here is my quarterly round-up of all of the books that I have read the past three months. It’s actually a pretty impressive number, 32 to be exact, but I’ve also listed the books that are in my pictures but I either never got a chance to read or didn’t finish. Also, if you click on any of the green-colored titles, it will take you to my full review of that book. So, without further ado, let me get this long post underway.

Betting on Hope

        Betting on Hope is the first book in Debra Clopton’s Four of Hearts Ranch Romance series, and was also the first book I had ever read by her. I have to say, I really enjoyed this novel; in fact I couldn’t get enough of it. 

The Wonder of You

        The Wonder of You is the fifth book in Susan May Warren’s Christiansen Family series coming after Take a Chance on Me, It Had to Be You, When I Fall in Love, and Always on My Mind. Susan is one of my all-time favorite authors, and I am a huge fan of the Christiansen books, so I’d have to say this is one of my favorite books I read this quarter.

A Lady at Willowgrove Hall

        A Lady at Willowgrove Hall is the third book in Sarah E. Ladd’s Whispers on the Moors series, coming after The Heiress of Winterwood and The Headmistress of Rosemere. I really enjoy Sarah’s writing, so I was extremely excited when I purchased this novel and was finally able to read it. It was definitely a book I loved!

In Good Company

        In Good Company is the second book in Jen Turano’s A Class of Their Own series, coming behind After a Fashion. I am a HUGE fan of Jen’s, so I was super excited to read this book, and it is definitely one of my favorites this quarter.

Made with Love

        Made with Love is the first book in Tricia Goyer and Sherry Gore’s Pinecraft Pie Shop series, and was also the first book I had ever read by either of them. Unfortunately, I only liked this book—it didn’t really keep me interested throughout the whole of the story—but I still enjoyed it a decent amount.

All’s Fair in Love and Cupcakes

        All’s Fair in Love and Cupcakes was the first novel I had ever read by Betsy St. Amant, but it made me a lifelong fan of hers. It is absolutely one of my favorite books of this quarter, as it is one of my favorite books of all time!

Love on the Line

        I am a huge fan of Deeanne Gist and all of her writing, so I was super excited when I found a really good deal on this book. Love on the Line is an extremely hysterical, completely and utterly captivating novel that is definitely one of my favorites of the quarter.

Mermaid Moon

        Mermaid Moon is the second book in Colleen Coble’s Sunset Cove series, coming after The Inn at Ocean’s Edge. I really enjoyed both of those novels, and was super glad to get the chance to read and review this book.

The Crimson Cord

        The Crimson Cord is the first book in Jill Eileen Smith’s Daughters of the Promised Land series, and was also the first book I had ever read by her. It is also the book that made me a huge fan of Jill’s writing. She does a wonderful job of retelling Bible stories, and I cannot wait to read more of her works.

The Wedding Chapel

        The Wedding Chapel is just another one of Rachel’s many novels that I have absolutely loved. I’m a huge fan of hers, so I had been dying to read this book for ages, and I definitely wasn’t disappointed.

Mist of Midnight

        Mist of Midnight is the first book in Sandra Byrd’s Daughters of Hampshire series, and was also the first novel I had ever read by her. I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect going in, but I ended up really enjoying this book, and am now a pretty big fan of hers.

If I Run

        If I Run is the first book in Terri Blackstock’s If I Run series, and was also the first book I had read by her (apparently I read books by a lot of new-to-me-authors this quarter). This book was a huge cliffhanger, which still drives me absolutely crazy, but other than that it was one of my favorites.

The Imposter

        The Imposter is the first book in Suzanne Woods Fisher’s Bishop’s Family series, and is one of the couple of books I actually didn’t end up getting to read. I ask my sister to take pictures for me before I’ve read all of the books on my blog planner, and every once and a while I don’t have a chance to read all of the books I have planned. This was one of those times.

A Son’s Vow

        A Son’s Vow is the first book in Shelley Shepard Gray’s The Charmed Amish Life series, and is also the first of her books that I haven’t really enjoyed. It had a relatively good storyline, I suppose, but it was just really slow and not well written in my opinion.

The Dandelion Field

        The Dandelion Field is the first of Kathryn Springer’s Bannister Falls novels, and was also the first book I had ever read of hers. It made me a lifelong fan of her, however, as it was easily one of my favorite novels this quarter.

From the Start

        From the Start is the first book in Melissa Tagg’s Walker Family series, and was also the first book I had ever read by her. However, I immediately fell in love with her writing, and have already picked up some of her other books from the library. I would definitely say this was one of my favorite books this quarter.

Kissed by a Cowboy

        Kissed by a Cowboy is the third book in Debra Clopton’s Four of Hearts Ranch Romance series, coming after Betting on Hope and Counting on a Cowboy. I really enjoyed the first novel—I didn’t get to read the second one—so I was really disappointed when this novel didn’t even come close. It fell really flat to me, but I still liked the storyline, slow as it was.

You’re the One That I Want 

        You’re the One That I Want is the sixth book in Susan May Warren’s Christiansen Family series, coming after Take a Chance on Me, It Had to Be You, When I Fall in Love, Always on My Mind, and The Wonder of You. I’m a HUGE fan of Susan’s, and absolutely loved all of the previous novels, so I knew I would enjoy this one. I have to say, it just might be my favorite of the six.

The Hearts We Mend

        The Hearts We Mend is the second of Kathryn Springer’s Bannister Falls novels, coming after The Dandelion Field. Although I really loved the first novel, I know I liked this one even more. There were just so many elements of it that I couldn’t help falling in love with.

Paper Hearts

        Paper Hearts is the first book in Courtney Walsh’s Paper Hearts series, and was also the first book I had ever read by her. It made me a huge fan of hers, however, and I cannot wait to read more of her work in the future.

Until I Found You

        Until I Found You is the first book I have ever read by Victoria Bylin, but I loved it so, so much and it made me a forever fan of hers.

Keeper of the Stars

        Keeper of the Stars is the third book in Robin Lee Hatcher’s Kings Meadow Romance series, coming after Love Without End and Whenever You Come Around. I enjoyed both of the previous novels, but I have to say, this one was definitely my favorite.

A Woodland Miracle

        The Woodland Miracle is the second book in Ruth Reid’s Amish Wonders series, coming after A Miracle of Hope, and is another book I never actually got to read.

A Reluctant Bride

        A Reluctant Bride is the first book in Kathleen Fuller’s Amish of Birch Creek series, but wasn’t the first book I had ever read by her. I’m a bit of a fan of Kathleen’s Amish stories, and this was another one that I really enjoyed.

A Miracle of Hope

        A Miracle of Hope is the first book in Ruth Reid’s Amish Wonders series, and was also the first book I had ever read by her. I really enjoyed it though, and am looking forward to reading more of her novels in the future.

The Pelican Bride

        The Pelican Bride is the first book in Beth White’s Gulf Coast Chronicles series, and was also the first novel I had ever read by her. I really enjoyed it though, and am now a big fan of Beth’s.

The Creole Princess

        The Creole Princess is the second book in Beth White’s Gulf Coast Chronicles series, coming after The Pelican Bride. While I really enjoyed the first book, I absolutely LOVED this one. It is definitely one of my favorites this quarter.

A Love Like Ours

        A Love Like Ours is the third book in Becky Wade’s Porter Family series, coming after Undeniably Yours and Meant to Be Mine. This wasn’t my favorite book of the three, as I loved them all so, so much, but I will say all three are some of my favorite novels of all time.

Meant to Be Mine

        Meant to Be Mine is the second book in Becky Wade’s Porter Family series, coming after Undeniably Yours. This was another book that I absolutely LOVED.

Undeniably Yours

        Undeniably Yours is the first book in Becky Wade’s Porter Family series, and was also the first book I had ever read by her. However, it made me a lifelong fan of hers.

The Goodbye Bride

        The Goodbye Bride is the second book in Denise Hunter’s Summer Harbor series, coming after Falling Like Snowflakes. I’m a huge fan of Denise’s, so I’d been anticipating reading this novel for quite some time. I have to say, it was definitely worth the wait.

Love Arrives in Pieces

        Love Arrives in Pieces is the second of Betsy St. Amant’s books about the Varland sisters, coming after All’s Fair in Love and Cupcakes, and is honestly my favorite of the two. It is such a wonderful, touching story, that I still can’t stop thinking about.           

Full Steam Ahead

        Full Steam Ahead by Karen Witemeyer is a book that I actually own, so I will definitely read it at some point, especially since I’m a huge fan of Karen’s and am excited to read this. The only reason I didn’t end up reading it this quarter is because I had the opportunity to read so many new releases that I just didn’t have enough Tuesdays (the day a post My Bookshelf posts)!

Through Waters Deep

        This is the final book I was going to read this quarter but didn’t actually have the time to. I will hopefully be able to get it from the library again and add it in somewhere, but I just didn’t have a chance to read it recently.

The Wood’s Edge

        The Wood’s Edge is the first book in Lori Benton’s The Pathfinders series, and is also the first book I had ever read by her. I really, really enjoyed it, however, and am absolutely dying to read the next novel in this series!!

 

Crazy Little Thing Called Love

        Crazy Little Thing Called Love is the first book in Beth K. Vogt’s Destination Wedding series, and is also the first book that I had ever read by her. I definitely enjoyed this book, although there were just a few stylistic issues that bothered be about it.

Hope Harbor

        This is another book I didn't get around to...this quarter. I still have the copy that I borrowed from the library, and I'm planning on reading it very soon!
