Today’s Top Ten Tuesday is actually all about ten things books have made me want to do or learn about after reading them, but I just didn’t really have any inspiration for that topic. So, I decided to pick a topic I did have a lot of ideas for. What I’ve currently been unable to stop thinking about are books that are coming out in the next year, and the authors that I absolutely love. Because of that, I decided that this would be a bit of a hybrid topic. It will be the top ten authors whose books I add to my bookshelf as fast as they come out, and their newest releases. So, in other words, this is about my top ten favorite authors, and their next book that’s releasing! Here goes! Oh, and click on any of the coral colored titles to see my full reviews of one of the books!

Freebie Week
Today’s
Top Ten Tuesday is actually a freebie week, which means I can write about whatever I want. I had a bit of trouble
coming up with a topic for this post, because I didn’t want it to be just like
all the other posts I’ve done in the past. Unfortunately, I feel as if I’ve done
almost every topic that could ever exist! So today I’m going to do a topic that
I’ve somewhat done before, but that’s okay because it’s constantly relevant,
and my answers are constantly changing. And that topic is: my favorite new to
me authors. I did a Top Ten Tuesday post last year on this same topic, but
since that was six months ago, I know there shouldn’t be any overlap, as I’m
sure I’ve been introduced to AT LEAST twenty authors in such a long span of
time, and I’m not sure I’ll be able to slim them down to only ten. So, here
goes! And as always, if you want to see my full review of any of the books, be
sure to click on the colored titles!

Top Ten Tuesday: Auto-Buy Authors
Today’s
Top Ten Tuesday are the top ten authors whose books I auto-buy, meaning the
authors whose novels I preorder/purchase without even thinking about it. Because
I know I have loved their previous works, I go on ahead and preorder their
books. Since I’m sure I’ll love it, I might as well get it, right?
1. Julie Klassen
Julie
Klassen has been on my auto-buy list the longest. I have read every single one
of her novels, and have loved each one. Clearly I could not help but add her to
my list, so now every one of her new novels ends up on my ‘books to preorder list’
(yes I have one of those). Lady Maybe
was the most recent of her books I ordered, although I am already planning on
ordering The Painter’s Daughter,
which releases in December.
2. Sarah E. Ladd
Sarah
E. Ladd has been on my auto-buy list almost as long as Julie has. Although I haven’t
read that many of her books yet, I absolutely loved the ones I have finished.
Recently, I preordered and read her latest release, The Curiosity Keeper. I really loved that first book in her Treasures of Surrey series, so I am
already planning on preordering the next one—Dawn at Emberwilde—which releases next May.
3. Rachel Hauck
Rachel
Hauck is one of my favorite authors of all time. Obviously, it stands to reason
that she would be on this list. I absolutely love her books, and am looking
forward to all her new releases to come. Especially The Wedding Chapel—it releases in November—which I have already
preordered as an e-book.
4. Denise Hunter
Although
Denise Hunter is a relatively new author to me, I fell in love with her writing
almost immediately. Her Chapel Springs
series are some of my favorite books of all times, and I am so excited for her
new series, the Summer Harbor series.
The first book, Falling Like Snowflakes,
releases next month, and I’ve already preordered it, and am making plans to
order the second book—The Goodbye Bride—even
though it doesn’t release until next April.
5. Katherine Reay
Katherine
Reay made it onto my auto buy list easily, even though I’ve only read one of
her two books so far. I absolutely loved Dear
Mr. Knightly, and I cannot get enough of the Jane Austen themes that filled
that book, which make me excited to read her other novel, since it is full of
them as well. Not only does she get her inspiration from Jane, she also finds
ideas between the pages of the novels by the Bronte sisters, as is evident in
her book that is releasing in November. The
Bronte Plot is going to be wonderful, I am sure of it, so that is why I’ve
already ordered it.
6. Kristi Ann Hunter
Although
Kristi Ann Hunter is obviously a very new author to me—she has only released
one e-novella—I couldn’t help but put her on this list. Why? Because I was already
planning on preordering her first full length release before I even finished A Lady of Esteem (the e-novella). A Lady of Esteem was by far the best
novella I have ever read, and I absolutely loved Kristi Ann’s writing style.
Since I loved it so much, I already have the whole Hawthorne House series on my ‘books to preorder list’, starting
with A Noble Masquerade, which releases
next month.
7. Melanie Dickerson
I love,
love, love Melanie Dickerson’s books. Her fairy tale retellings are absolutely
amazing, and I love the way she ties some of them together. Full of dashing
heroes and dangerous situations, her novels are always captivating, which made
my decision easy when I thought about who to add to this list. I have been
eagerly anticipating her next release—The
Golden Braid—for months already, and it doesn’t even come out until November.
Obviously I cannot wait until that book shows up at my door.
8. Regina Jennings
Even
though I have only read one of her novels, I already love Regina Jennings. A
Most Inconvenient Marriage is one of my favorite books of all time, and while
reading it, I fell in love with the way she weaves together her historicals. Imagine
my excitement when I first found out about her upcoming release—At Love’s Bidding. I immediately added
it to my preorder list, and am excited to get to read it soon.
9. Elizabeth Camden
Although
I have only read one of her books as well, I am positive I love Elizabeth’s
work. She writes the best super sweet historical novels that I cannot get
enough of. Since I loved The Rose of Winslow Street as much as I did, I could
not help but add Elizabeth to this list and plan to order Until the Dawn, her upcoming December release.
10. Siri Mitchell
Last
but not least, Siri Mitchell is another author I absolutely love. The first
novel I ever read by her—She Walks in Beauty—is by far one of my favorite
novels of all time, and to this day I cannot forget it, not that I’ve tried. Siri
does such a wonderful job of writing super sweet, captivating stories that
definitely touch your heart, so I always anticipate reading her books. Flirtation Walk—her upcoming March
release—is no exception, so that is why she has this well-earned spot on my
list.
So,
those are my top ten auto-buy authors! I’m excited to see if they change much
over the next couple of years. What do you think? Do you have a few in common
with me? There’s only one way to find out!
Happy
reading!

Top Ten Tuesday: Authors I’ve Read the Most
This is
my first time linking-up with Top Ten Tuesday, and I’m super excited! This link-up
seems like a lot of fun, and I know I will be enjoying it as I continue to
link-up over the next few weeks! So, here’s my top ten authors I’ve read the
most!
1. Carolyn Keene (???)
I
honestly have no idea how many of her books I have read. I have been a huge fan
of mysteries since I was young, so I have read quite a few in my
relatively-short lifetime (compared to how many more years of reading I still
have left of course). Nancy Drew is a favorite for many girls, especially
preteens, so when I was about that age, I started reading her mysteries. There are
so many of them out now that I couldn’t possibly keep track, but I am positive I
have read at least eighty of them. Honestly, I still enjoy them, and would read
them all over again if I had the time. Nancy Drew will forever be a favorite.
2. Beverly Lewis (49)
I have
read all but three of Beverly’s books. Her Amish novels are some of the
absolute best, and I never fail to enjoy them. They are always full of just
enough secrets and drama to keep you hooked until the last page. Her happy
endings are wonderful, too. I think, of all of her series, I love The Rose series the best. They just held
so much suspense and relatability that I remember to this day. I really enjoyed
Sanctuary as well.
3. Janette Oke (42)
Another
author whose works I have almost finished, Janette Oke is a HUGE favorite of
mine. Her Love Comes Softly series is
to die for—I have read it more than once and seen most of the movies—and I absolutely
loved her Prairie Legacy series,
which was a continuation of Love Comes
Softly. The Acts of Faith series
that she wrote with Davis Bunn is my absolute favorite series about Biblical
Times, and I cannot forget how much I loved her Song of Acadia series, even though I read it years ago. Her Canadian West series was just as good,
which is why I actually jumped up and down when I first found out about the
spinoff Hallmark show, When Calls the
Heart (the absolute best show on television). Obviously Janette Oke is one
of my favorite authors (he he).
4. Karen Kingsbury (36)
I absolutely
love Karen’s books. They are always so full of drama and relatable life
situations that you cannot help but be drawn in, and many times end up crying
before the story is over. Every single one of her books that I have read has
touched me in some way or another, especially her new Angels Walking series. But my favorite of everything she has
ever written is the Bailey Flanigan
series. I have already read all four books more than once, and am planning on
reading them again in the near future. They are fantastic, and I cannot get
enough of them.
5. Robin Jones Gunn (34)
I have
actually read more of Robin’s Young Adult novels than anything else, but that
is simply because I first stumbled upon her writing in a YA section…as a young
adult. That is how she first became one of my favorite authors. Today, she is
one of my favorites because of her Katie
Weldon series. Those four books are absolutely wonderful, and still some of
the best I have ever read.
6. Nancy Rue (31)
Another
author whose YA books are mostly what I have read…okay, actually everything I have
read by her was YA fiction. What can I say, her YA novels are fantastic! Especially
the Real Life series. Those four
books really touched me when I read them as a young teenager. I still cannot
forget them and the impact they made on my life.
7. Kim Vogel Sawyer (18)
I
absolutely love Kim’s writing. Her historicals are to die for, and I really
enjoyed the first two books in her Zimmerman
Restoration Trilogy, which I just read a few weeks ago. All in all though, I
think my favorite out of all of her novels are the My Heart Remembers series—that I have already read twice, they are
completely and utterly perfect—and What
Once Was Lost. I am still so glad I purchased that novel.
8. Tracie Peterson (13)
I have
been a fan of Tracie Peterson for a while now, although I must say I was
disappointed to find one of her latest novels a complete letdown. Nevertheless,
her Ladies of Liberty series was
amazing, and I loved her Broadmoor Legacy
series.
9. Lori Wick (13)
I first
heard of Lori from a friend of mine who lent me some of her books. Okay, okay,
so that’s how I read all thirteen novels by her. But I have to say, I thoroughly
enjoyed them. Bamboo & Lace was
my absolute favorite, and I really loved Pretense
as well.
10. Wanda E. Brunstetter (12)
I really
love Wanda’s Amish novels. I’ve known of her works for a fairly long time, and
have read those twelve books over a fairly spread out period of time, so I really
can’t remember as much about them as I would like to. However, I am certain I liked
Lydia’s Charm the most. So far anyway (wink wink).
That’s
my top ten most read authors! Happy reading!
