Book Number Two!

Today’s Top Ten Tuesday is actually supposed to be the top ten songs I wish were books, but I just couldn’t come up with anything within that theme. However, I still wanted to participate as I absolutely love writing Top Ten Tuesday posts, so I just looked at their list of previous Top Ten Tuesdays and took it from there. One of their previous themes was the top ten sequels I am dying to read, and I thought I would give that a chance. Since I needed a way to narrow that down a little bit, I picked only books that are number two in their series. So, here are some of the book-number-twos I am absolutely dying to read…

The Goodbye Bride by Denise Hunter

And she sure doesn’t remember getting engaged to another man. All she remembers is loving Zac more than life itself.
It’s taken Zac months to move on after Lucy left him with no explanation. He’s thrown himself into his family’s farm and his restaurant business in Summer Harbor. Now Lucy’s back, vulnerable, homeless, and still in love with him. She needs his help putting the pieces together, but letting her back into his life is a risk—and the stakes are high. If he follows his heart he’ll win back the love of his life. But if her memory returns he’ll lose her all over again.

Joanna has loved Andrew since the age of twelve, and her feelings have not changed throughout the years. She is thrilled when Andrew wants to get married, but she wonders whether it’s love he’s feeling, or pity. As the couple’s wedding date approaches, Joanna isn’t overcome with the deep joy she was hoping to find; instead, she’s wracked with anxiety and guilt.
Joanna hears God whispering to her, “Be strong and courageous,” but she’s afraid that courage looks a lot like walking away from her dreams and into the plan of her Heavenly Father.

  1. I love your list, Mackenzie, and I'm like you in that I enjoy these TTT themes. In the past, when a topic didn't interest me, I just didn't post that week. However, I think I will follow your example and just pick a different topic that week. Several of these books are on my review list, and I'm especially eager to read Kathryn Springer #2, as her first book made my "best of the best" list for 2015.

I'm a musician, and although I don't listen to much contemporary music, I drew from ballads that I loved as a teenager - and still do, in fact! So I had a ball with the "lyrics that would make an interesting book" topic. Here's my post: My TTT

    1. Thank you! I really enjoy them as well! You should definitely do that; I always hate missing out when I don't connect with the specific topic. I cannot wait to read it either! The Dandelion Field was just fabulous, wasn't it?!
I'm glad you had fun with the topic! It sounded like a really interesting topic, I just didn't really connect with it. I'm so glad you did though! Thanks so much for visiting!
