My Bookshelf: Too Deep for Words by Andrea Boeshaar
Carrie Ann Collier has
been a newlywed for nineteen blissful days—as blissful as life can be in the
midst of war, that is. Soon that war will take a toll she never expected. When
her new husband, Peyton, goes missing during battle, she refuses to believe he
is dead, and must find a way to move forward with everyday life in the face of
fear.
As Carrie struggles
with how to welcome her estranged sister, Margaret, back into her life, another
new arrival appears on her doorstep—her husband’s best friend, and rebel
officer, Eli. Wounded and bitter, Eli is nonetheless committed to keeping his
promise to Peyton: take care of the Collier women, no matter what. But to
Carrie, he’s a painful reminder of her lost love.
Then unexpected news
makes Carrie wonder if miracles do happen. If Carrie infiltrates the enemy once
again, she might find out what really happened to the love of her life. Will
Eli be able to keep his promise to keep her safe? Can they forgive each other
if promises are broken?

My Bookshelf: The Ladies of Ivy Cottage by Julie Klassen
Return to Ivy Hill as friendships
deepen, romances blossom, and mysteries unfold…
A gentlewoman in
reduced circumstances, Miss Rachel Ashford lives as a guest in Ivy Cottage.
With her meager funds rapidly depleting, she is determined to earn her own
livelihood…somehow. Her friend Jane Bell and the other village women encourage
her to open a circulating library with the many books she’s inherited from her
father. As villagers donate additional books and Rachel begins sorting through
the volumes, she discovers mysteries hidden among them. A man who once broke
her heart helps her search for clues, but both find more than they bargained
for.
Rachel’s hostess,
Mercy Grove, has given up thoughts of suitors and finds fulfillment in managing
her girl’s school. So when several men take an interest in Ivy Cottage, she
assumes pretty Miss Ashford is the cause. Exactly what—or whom—has captured
each man’s attention? The truth may surprise them all.

My Bookshelf: A Song Unheard by Roseanna M. White
If betraying her heart means
saving countless lives, will she find the courage?
Willa Forsythe is both
a violin prodigy and top-notch thief, which makes her the perfect choice for a
critical task at the outset of World War I—to secure a crucial cypher key from
a famous violinist currently in Wales.
Lukas De Wilde has
enjoyed the life of fame he’s won—until now, when being recognized nearly gets
him killed. Everyone wants the key to his father’s work as a cryptologist. And Lukas
fears that his mother and sister, who have vanished in the wake of the German
invasion of Belgium, will pay the price. The only distraction he finds from his
worry is in meeting the intriguing and talented Willa Forsythe.
But danger presses in
from every side, and Willa knows what Lukas doesn’t—that she must betray him
and find that key, or her own family could pay the same price his surely has.

Must-Have February Releases
I really cannot believe it’s already February! I know that I
say that every month, but really, this month went by so very quickly! I cannot
believe how quickly it has flown by, especially since the school months tend to
be a little bit slower for me. Either way, I am happy about it, because that
means there are more books to read, and I’m even closer to summer! February
brings with it Valentine’s Day as well, so here is a great list of things to
ask for from your sweetheart!
