I’m back!!! I know, I have been sorrowfully absent over the
past few months, but I am finally out of school for the summer so I thought it
was time to come back to my blog. I honestly haven’t read a single book—other than
textbooks of course—since I finished The Elusive Miss Ellison back in March, so I haven’t even had much to write
about! But now I will be reading again, and I will have more time to write
about whatever is on my mind, so I am back for at least the summer! And I
thought I would kick it off with one of my favorite types of posts to write: my
must-have releases! Here are my books for this month.
What the Bishop Saw
by Vannetta Chapman
What the Bishop Saw is the first book in Vannetta’s Amish Bishop Mysteries series.
Somewhere in the embers lies the
truth.
A fire blazes out of
control in the San Luis Valley of Colorado, leaving an elderly Amish bachelor
dead. Bishop Henry Lapp rushes to the scene, and he learns the fire was no
accident. Someone intended to kill Vernon Frey. But who would want to kill
Vernon? Well, practically everyone—Amish and Englisch alike.
When the police point
the finger at a suspect Henry knows is innocent, the bishop must decide whether
or not to use his mysterious, God-given gift—one he’s tried desperately to
ignore all these years—to try and set the record straight. His close friend and
neighbor, Emma, encourages Henry to follow God’s leading.
Could the clue to
solving the case be locked somewhere deep in his memory? Will Henry find the
courage to move forward in faith and put the right person behind bars? Is his
friendship with Emma becoming something more?
Haven of Swans by
Colleen Coble
Haven of Swans is a the rerelease of Colleen’s Abomination.
A beautiful woman
stands by the side of the road, barefoot and bleeding, a child in her arms.
Someone just tried to kill her, but she wouldn’t recognize him even if she saw
his face. She doesn’t even remember her own name.
A suburban cop surveys
a kitchen in disarray—a woman and child missing, a chilling note. This crime
scene is unlike any he has ever seen.
The man who calls
himself Gideon waits and plans. He sees himself as a destroyer of evil, one who
rids the world of abominations. He has already killed five. He will kill again.
And somewhere in the
wilderness, in a secret geocache near where the wild swans gather, lies the
unspeakable clue that links them all together.

escape—especially with her model-perfect ex-sister-in-law working at the town’s
popular coffee-shop hangout. With help from her father, a support group, and an
old friend who guides her to see her own strengths, Cecily may have a shot at

Wade

present. However, when John, an adoptee, is diagnosed with an inherited
condition, he’s forced to dig into the secrets of his ancestry.
John enlists Nora’s
help to uncover the identity of his birth mother, and as they work side by

and the things she’s done, she can hardly believe that happiness will find her—especially
when Gabe Kendall, her first crush and her first kiss, rides back into her life
atop a buckskin mare.
A former Marine, Gabe
is at loose ends after serving a prison sentence for being in the wrong place
at the wrong time. He sees beyond Amy’s hard exterior to the girl he once knew
and loved, and he longs to see her open her heart. Yet with his vision clouded
by shame for his past and fears about the future, it’s difficult to see the

reopen old wounds. Will dredging up the past change the way her children view
her? Or her marriage to their father? And can she handle the pain of revisiting
the memories that preceded the last few happy decades?
Mattie’s story is one

hope chest, it’s a story of love and redemption born out of heartache—and it’s
past time to share it.

baron’s daughter? It seemed too good to be true.
On the journey to
Wolfberg Castle, Magdalen’s servant forces her to trade places and become her
servant, threatening not only Magdalen’s
life, but the lives of those she holds dear. Stripped of her identity and title
in Wolfberg, where no one knows her, Magdalen is sentenced to tend geese while
she watches her former handmaiden gain all Magdalen had ever dreamed of.
